titleOfInvention | Enzymatic procedure to confer wood and derived products resistance against agents of biotic origin |
abstract | The present invention relates to an enzymatic process for conferring wood and derivatives of the same resistance against biotic agents. The invention consists in entrapment of a water-soluble protector in the framework formed by lignin Kraft on the surface of the wood and derivatives thanks to the action of laccase type enzymes. It is recommended that the materials to be treated undergo a previous stage of conditioning. These are then impregnated with a mixture formed by the solutions of laccase, water-soluble protector and Kraft lignin using conventional industrial chemical impregnation methods (spraying, brushing, immersion, autoclave, etc.) to finally dry them. As an advantage, the leaching of the protector decreases and the final treated products can be placed in high humidification risk scenarios with a lower impact on the environment and human health. |
