abstract | An acidic aqueous composition having a pH of 1 to 4, for the elimination of spores of spore-forming bacteria, comprising 100 to 2000 ppm of dissolved chlorine dioxide, a surfactant system that has a wetting effect and a solubilization effect spore, wherein the surfactant system comprises at least two ionic hydrocarbon surfactants stable against oxidation at acidic pH, of which at least two surfactants have a hydrocarbon chain length difference of at least four carbon atoms, characterized in that said ionic surfactants in the surfactant system are selected from: a) two or more surfactants that are cationic at a pH in the range of 1 to 4, selected from amine oxides having alkyl groups with 6 to 18 carbon atoms ; or b) two or more surfactants that are anionic surfactants at a pH in the range of 1 to 4, selected from soluble salts of alkyl diphenyloxide disulfonates with 12 to 19 carbon atoms in the alkyl chains. |
