abstract | A process of preparing a high stability microcapsule product comprising curing at a temperature greater than 90 ° C a crosslinked network of polymers containing an active material that is a fragrance to provide a microcapsule product that is capable of retaining the fragrance in the consumer products, comprising the surfactant consumer products, alcohols, volatile silicones and mixtures thereof, the process comprising the steps of: - reacting polymers to form said crosslinked network of polymers; - mixing said active material and an optional functional additive with the mixture of reactants; - encapsulating the active material with the crosslinked polymer network to form an encapsulated polymer material; - curing the polymer encapsulated material at a temperature greater than 90 ° C to provide a high stability microcapsule product, in which the heating profile at the target curing temperature of the crosslinked network of polymers containing the active material is linear with a heating rate of at least 2.0 ° C per minute, for a period of time less than sixty minutes, and in which said crosslinked network of polymers containing said active material is cured for a period of time longer than 1 time. |
