abstract | An aerosol container that may contain one or more propellants, including a sunscreen composition and at least one propellant, said propellant being dimethyl ether, said sunscreen composition providing protection against the effects of the sun on a person's skin to which the composition is applied, wherein the sunscreen composition is an emulsion containing at least one sunscreen agent, the sunscreen agent and the propellant that are in direct contact with each other in the emulsion and not separated from each other, the container that is pressed at a pressure from 20 to 100 psig (3.4 x 104 Pa to 5.9 x 105 Pa), the at least one sunscreen is effective in providing skin protection against the harmful effects of the sun when in contact with a person's skin, the sunscreen composition that can be dispensed from the spray-shaped container having a size or 0.01 µm (micron) to 5000 µm (micron) drop, the sunscreen composition that is effective in forming a substantially continuous film when applied to the person's skin, where when the emulsion is dispensed from the container the sunscreen forms particles which, in contact with the person's skin, form a substantially continuous film of uniform thickness, in which the emulsion is an oil-in-water emulsion or a water-in-oil emulsion in water. |
