A synthetic polyisoprene condom, comprising: synthetic polyisoprene particles that are pre-vulcanized and cured such that the electron microscopic observation of the sulfur X-ray map of a fracture surface obtained by fracturing the condom at the temperature of liquid nitrogen, rupture at room temperature, or both, shows the presence of sulfur within a polyisoprene particle; said synthetic polyisoprene particles are bound to each other by intraparticle cross-linking of polyisoprene and interparticle cross-linking of polyisoprene; wherein the polyisoprene intraparticle crosslinks and polyisoprene interparticle crosslinks are uniform in said synthetic polyisoprene condom, such that it is verified by scanning electron microscopy that a fracture surface passes non-preferentially through both regions interparticle as intraparticle regions; wherein the elemental analysis with electron microscopy shows an accumulation of zinc surrounding said synthetic polyisoprene particles |
