Method of manufacturing ophthalmic devices used in the treatment of eye allergies |
abstract |
A method of making an ophthalmic device comprising a minimum effective amount of an antiallergic agent wherein the ophthalmic device is prepared from a formulation comprising etafilcon A, the antiallergic agent is ketotifen fumarate, and wherein the minimum effective amount of said antiallergic agent is between more than 9μg and less than 90 µg comprising the step of treating an ophthalmic device with a solution comprising said antiallergic agent, wherein the amount of said antiallergic agent in said solution exceeds the minimum effective amount in about 50% in a volume of solution that is around 1000 μl. |
