titleOfInvention Provision for hemolysis detection
abstract Visual detection device for detecting hemolysis in a whole blood sample from a perforable container (2), said device (3) comprising at least one visible detection element (41) and a connected transfer passage (1, 7) to said visible detection element (41), said device further comprising transfer means (1) allowing the transfer of a plasma volume from said sample (12) to said detection element (41) through said step (1 , 7) transfer, wherein said device (3) also has a separation device (40) for separating plasma from blood cells within said whole blood sample (12) before said plasma reaches the element (41) ) for detecting, said device (3) also having means (40, 41) arranged to provide a capillary action that drives said plasma volume to be transferred through the separation device (40) to ia said detection element (41), characterized in that said detection element is in the form of a filter (41), and that said transfer means (1) are arranged to pass through the container (2) into said interior container (2) to access the whole blood (12).
