Compositions comprising a fiber material and a thermoplastic binder |
abstract |
A composition comprising a fiber material and a thermoplastic binder, wherein the thermoplastic binder comprises at least one thermoplastic polyurethane polymer (A); wherein said thermoplastic polyurethane polymer (A) comprises a reaction product of (i) at least one polyol; (ii) at least one polyisocyanate; and (iii) optionally at least one diol that is different from at least one polyol (i); wherein the molar ratio of the NCO groups of said polyisocyanate (ii) to the sum of OH groups of said polyol ester (i) and optionally said diol containing (iii) is less than 1.00: 1; and wherein said polyol ester (i) comprises (a) at least one semi-crystalline polyol having a melting point (Tm) of 40 to 180 ° C; and (b) at least one non-crystalline polyol. |
