A removable multidirectional self-retention system comprises: a. A component that acts as a binding link (106,206,1206,1306); b. a plurality of suture segments (102a, 102b, 202a, 202b, 1202,1302), each suture segment has a perimeter and a plurality of retainers (103a, 103b, 203a, 203b, 1203) located between an end end of the segment of suture and a second end of the suture segment that allow the movement of the suture through the tissue in a direction to the movement of the first end and prevent movement 10 of the suture segment through the tissue in a direction opposite to that of the movement from the first end, and the second end of each suture segment is fixed to the component that acts as a binding link; wherein the component that acts as a binding link contains a permanent loop; characterized in that the compound that acts as a bond is formed entirely by the plurality of the suture segments. |
