Single-layer disintegrable wet wipes with enhanced disintegrability |
abstract |
Disintegrable wet wipe comprising: a single layer wipe substrate comprising a fibrous substrate, the fibrous substrate having outer surfaces and a central area, the fibrous substrate having a basic weight between 60 and 90 grams per square meter, and a binder compound that includes an activatable polymer applied to the outer surfaces of the fibrous substrate, and a wetting compound containing approximately 0.5 to 3.5 percent of an insolubilizing agent; characterized in that said fibrous substrate has an air permeability of between 0.283 and 2.83 m3 per minute (10 and 100 cubic feet per minute) and most of the binder compound is disposed towards the outer surfaces of the fibrous substrate. |
