abstract |
A process of treating a metal sulfide ore to separate a desired mineral from a sulfide-containing bargain, comprising: a) forming a pulp by suspending the ore in water and milling said ore; and b) enriching the pulp in said desired mineral by foam flotation, in which hydrogen peroxide is added to said pulp within 30 seconds before, or during, the bubbling of oxygen or air into said pulp, in which an optimum amount of hydrogen peroxide added is determined based on measurements of the dissolved oxygen content of the pulp. |
