abstract | A new method of chemical synthesis for the industrial production of mepyramine 7-theophyllinacetate in a more pure and stable way, characterized in that equimolecular amounts of 7-theophyllinacetic acid and mepyramine base are mixed in a solvent, preferably ethanol, which it boils to form a soluble salt that crystallizes by addition and then cooling of an equal amount of a solvent in which the salt is cold insoluble, preferably ethyl acetate, followed by filtration and drying of the crystals obtained; and new galenic presentations of the drug thus resulting, more attractive and safe for the consumer, such as in single-dose or multi-dose liquid syrup, or dried in the form of pills, obtained through a careful design of the pharmaceutical formulation, with the addition of sweeteners and chelating agents between other ingredients, and a limitation of air and temperature during the production process. |
