abstract |
A method for removing a lithic enzyme from a biological mixture containing the lytic enzyme and a macromolecule of interest that is sensitive to the lytic enzyme, where the method comprises the steps of: facilitating the biological mixture in the form of a mixture heterogeneous that contains the lytic enzyme, and the macromolecule, where at least 50% of the lytic enzyme is dissolved and at least 50% of the macromolecule is in a solid form; providing a lytic enzyme inhibitor immobilized in a carrier; contact the heterogeneous mixture with the inhibitor immobilized in batches; increase the solubility of the macromolecule in the mixture; and separating the immobilized inhibitor with the lytic enzyme bound from the mixture. |
