abstract A structural composite material, cured or uncured, comprising - a structural component in the form of a plurality of layers of textile material comprising fibers having an elastic modulus greater than 50 GPa, referred to in what follows as fibers structural, - a resin component; and - a viscoelastic intermediate layer having a thickness ranging from 50 μm to 1000 μm and a mass per unit area of 10 g / m2 to 500 g / m2, located between a pair of adjacent layers of said textile material, said fabric being viscoelastic intermediate layer a thin layer of nonwoven material, comprising at least one thermoplastic elastomer or a mixture thereof, and the diameter of the fiber in the intermediate layer in the range of 3 μm to 7 μm, or 10 μm to 60 μm; wherein the viscoelastic intermediate layer and the structural component are partially or completely impregnated with the resin component; and where, after curing, the viscoelastic intermediate layer is integrated into the structural composite.
