abstract | A method for treating combustion exhaust gases from a boiler (10) containing NOx, SOx, mercury, CO and partially burned hydrocarbons (HC), the method comprising the steps of: a) adding a halogenating agent of mercury and ammonia to combustion exhaust gases; b) subjecting said combustion exhaust gas to a reduction by denitration simultaneously with the oxidation of the metallic mercury to halogenated mercury in the presence of a solid catalyst (60); and c) wet desulfurizing said combustion exhaust gas subjected to said step b) of reduction by denitration with an alkaline absorbent solution, and extracting the halogenated mercury with the alkaline absorbent solution; the method further comprising, prior to said denitration reduction step b), a step of: d) putting said combustion exhaust gas in contact with an oxidation catalyst (50) for partially burned CO / hydrocarbons (HC), where the CO / HC oxidation catalyst is a catalyst comprising: at least one selected from the group consisting of TiO2, SiO2, ZrO2, Al2O3 and zeolite as a support; and at least one selected from the group consisting of Pt, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ir, Au, Ag, V, W, Mo, Ni, Co, Fe, Cr, Cu and Mn as the active substance, where the active substance is supported on the support, and where the composition of V, W, Mo, Ni, Co, Fe, Cr, Cu and Mn of the active substance has from 0.5 to 20 parts by weight as oxide with respect to 100 parts in weight of the support, and the composition of Pt, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ir, Au and Ag of the active substance has from 0.01 to 2 parts by weight as metal with respect to 100 parts by weight of the support, and where the Solid catalyst (60) is a catalyst comprising: at least one selected from the group consisting of TiO2, SiO2 ZrO2, and zeolite as a support; and at least one selected from the group consisting of V, W, and Mo as active substance, where the active substance is supported on the support, characterized in that said stage d) of partially burned CO / hydrocarbon (HC) catalytic oxidation It is carried out before said step a) of addition of said halogenating agent of mercury and ammonia. |
