titleOfInvention Improved flow rates of glass microspheres to facilitate the manufacture of immunodiagnostic test element
abstract A method of manufacturing glass microspheres as used in an immunodiagnostic test element, the method comprising the steps of: washing a plurality of micronized glass microspheres; placing the plurality of washed glass microspheres in a mixing apparatus; placing a quantity of inert particles in the mixing apparatus, in which the glass microspheres and nanoparticles are made of substantially the same material; and mixing together the plurality of glass microspheres and inert nanoparticles using the mixing apparatus, such that inert nanoparticles adhere to the outside of said microspheres to allow them to flow after said mixing step.
