A bulging aneurysm bridging device for use in a bifurcation of a blood vessel, such that the bifurcation comprises an afferent vessel with a first diameter, a first efferent vessel with a second diameter, and a second efferent vessel, thereby that said bridging device comprises: a substantially tubular wire frame structure (1), with a distal region (21), a central region (23) and a proximal region (22), such that said frame structure of The wire has a constrained diameter configuration for delivery through a delivery catheter (2), and an expanded diameter configuration, such that said distal region (21) and said proximal region (22) establish a cylindrical structure with a first diameter, in the expanded diameter setting, which coincides with, or slightly exceeds, the diameter of the blood vessel in which they are to be installed, and such that the central region has a contour bulbous with a second diameter, in the expanded diameter configuration, that exceeds the first diameter of the distal region and the proximal region; such that the proximal region comprises a first zigzag proximal segment (29), and the distal region comprises a first zigzag distal segment (25), and characterized in that said central region comprises a first zigzag central segment (34) and a plurality of helically oriented struts (39, 42) connecting the zigzag segment (34) of the central region (23) to the zigzag segments of the distal region and the proximal region (25, 29). |
