titleOfInvention Electrically conductive curtain coating process for coating solar mirrors
abstract A method of applying an electrically conductive coating on a first surface of a reflective coating (34) of a solar mirror (20, 70, 240), wherein the solar mirror (20, 70, 240) comprises a substrate (28 , 72, 242) having a first main surface and a second opposite main surface, the reflective coating (34) having a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the second surface of the reflective coating (34) is on a main surface (32, 76, 250) of the substrate (28, 72, 242) of the sun mirror (20, 70, 240), the method comprising: moving a first electrically conductive liquid material over a first area of the first surface of the reflective coating ( 3. 4); moving a second electrically conductive liquid material over a second area of the first surface of the reflective coating (34), wherein one of the liquid materials comprises an electrodepositable coating composition; keep the first and second electrically conductive liquid materials separate and without contact with each other to provide a third area of the first surface between the first and second areas to establish a current path through the first liquid material, the third area of the conductive surface (48) and through the second liquid material, and circulating an electric current through the current path to deposit the protective coating (35) over the area of the first surface of the reflector coating (34) having the composition electrodepositable coating.
