abstract |
An edible composition for oral administration of a retinide comprising, in the form of dry powder suitable for creep: (a) from 1 to 10 percent by weight of the retinide; (b) from 5 to 40 percent by weight of a non-acidic lipid matrix composition, said matrix composition comprising at least one fatty acid, at least one monoglyceride and lysophosphatidylcholine and said lipid matrix composition containing no more than 4 moles of water per mole of lipid matrix; (c) from 1 to 30 percent by weight of sweetener; (d) from 20 to 80 percent by weight of flour; and (e) from 0 to 16 percent by weight of a humectant. |
