abstract Method for the preparation of siliceous nanoparticles with pores comprising a surfactant with inherent pharmacological activity. # The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of siliceous nanoparticles with pores comprising a surfactant, wherein said surfactant comprises an ester or amide moiety that , upon hydrolyzing it releases # i) a compound with pharmaceutical activity, or a salt thereof, and # ii) a compound comprising a carboxyl moiety, a hydroxymethyl moiety or an aminomethyl moiety attached to a hydrocarbon moiety comprising an aliphatic chain from 7 and 23 carbon atoms, or a salt thereof, # wherein said method comprises mixing # a) said surfactant; and # b) at least one compound of the formula (B1) or (B2); and # c) at least one compound of the formula Si (OR {sup, 3}) {sub, 4}.
