abstract | Inhalation device suitable for the administration of the medicament in the form of dry powder from a blister pack composed of a plurality of blister cavities that are separated at equal intervals, each of which comprises medicament in the form of dry powder; the inhalation device comprising: - a mouthpiece (14) that allows the patient to inhale the medicine in the form of dry powder from the open blister in use; - a gear mechanism that allows in use that the blister pack is indexed and that the medicine in the form of dry powder is ready for inhalation; - a rotating nozzle cover (2) that conceals the nozzle (14) and triggers the gear mechanism; - a drive gear (12) which is a component of the gear mechanism and is connected to the nozzle cover (2) through a connection point of a nozzle cover (29), and - a housing (10) located between an upper housing element (4a) and a lower housing element (4b) in which the blister pack and the gear mechanism are enclosed, and - a plug (31) to prevent the movement of the cover (2 ) of nozzle characterized in that: the plug (31) consists of a latch (31a), a push button (31b) and a support part (31c); wherein the latch (31a) is coupled with a recess portion (2c) on the inner surface of the nozzle cover to prevent movement of the nozzle cover (2) when the nozzle cover (2) is in a position in which the nozzle (14) is completely covered, and the push button (31b) that moves synchronously with the latch (31a) is pressed to allow turning the nozzle cover (2) to activate the inhalation device when the support part (31c) is spring loaded to allow the push button (31b) to be pressed. |
