Plants that have enhanced traits related to their yield and production procedure |
abstract |
A method for increasing the yield of seed and / or biomass in plants with respect to control plants, which comprises introducing and expressing in a plant a nucleic acid encoding an HpaG polypeptide comprising: (i) at least 80 % or more sequence identity with the HpaG polypeptide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2; and (ii) an amino acid composition in which the glycine content varies between 13% and 25%, the glutamine content varies between 13% and 20%, the cysteine content varies between 0% and 1%, the histidine content varies between 0% and 1%, and in which tryptophan is absent, in which said increase in seed and / or biomass yield is obtained under stress-free or stress conditions abiotic or in which said increased seed and / or biomass yield is not the result of increased resistance to biotic stress. |
