Genetically modified bacterium deficient in the assimilation of alcohols. # The present invention relates to a genetically modified bacterial cell deficient in the assimilation of alcohols as a carbon source with respect to the wild strain from which it originates. The invention also relates to a method for producing said cell and a microbiological composition for producing alcohols. Also, the invention relates to the use of genetically modified bacterial cells or the microbiological composition to produce alcohols as well as to a process for producing alcohols from said cells or said microbiological composition. |
