titleOfInvention Flow sensor system
abstract A flow sensor system (101) to detect the flow of fluid indicative of a draft in an aerosol generating system, the sensor system is arranged to operate in a first mode, in which no draft is expected or none is detected draft, and in a second mode, in which a draft is expected or a draft is detected, and comprising: a detection circuit (103) comprising a detection resistor (Rs) and a voltage output, the resistor of detection (Rs) is arranged to detect the flow of fluid indicative of a shed based on a change in resistance, the detection circuit (103) is arranged so that the change in resistance of the detection resistor (Rs) causes a change in voltage output; and a signal generator (109, 111) arranged to supply a pulsed drive signal S1 to the detection circuit (103) to drive the detection circuit (103), so that the detection circuit (103) is operated by the signal S1 when the pulsed drive signal S1 is high and is not activated when the pulsed drive signal S1 is low, where the pulsed drive signal S1 has a first frequency f1 in the first mode, and a second frequency f2, higher that the first frequency f1 in the second mode and where the signal generator is configured to switch from the first mode to the second mode when a puff is expected or a puff is detected by the detection circuit (103).
