abstract Sprayer (1) for a fluid (2), with a container (3), preferably pluggable and possibly replaceable, with the fluid (2), with a pressure generator (5) for driving and/or spraying the fluid ( 2) and with a monitoring unit (20) for counting actuations of the sprayer (1), characterized in that the monitoring unit (20) is configured in such a way that an actual discharge of fluid (2) can be detected and counted as an actuation of the sprayer (1), the sprayer (1) presenting an intake sensor (38) to detect a flow of air and/or an inhalation of sprayed fluid (2) and the sprayer (1) presenting an atomization sensor for detecting if a spray actually occurs.
