abstract |
A fiber, film or melt spun sleeve from an elastomeric resin that can be obtained by: I. preparing an elastomeric resin in an internal mixing device by reacting: (i) a hydroxyl-terminated polyester intermediate derived of a dicarboxylic acid and a mixture of at least two alkylene glycols, where two of the alkylene glycols have a number average molecular weight that differs by at least 20 percent; (ii) a diisocyanate and (iii) a linear alkylene glycol chain extender; where the resulting resin has a weight average molecular weight of at least 600,000; and II. further reaction of the resin composition with (iv) an agent comprising the reaction product of a polyalkylene ether glycol and a diisocyanate; wherein said fiber, film or sleeve has a weight average molecular weight of at least 700,000. |
