titleOfInvention Surgical handpiece for endocanalicular laser dacryocystorhinostomy
abstract A surgical handpiece for endocanalicular laser dacryocystorhinostomy, comprising - a handpiece body with a drive button (2), said drive command (2) being designed to cause a step-by-step controlled movement of a optical fiber (3), fed from a laser light source (8), only in the direction towards the place of operation, said controlled movement being achieved by means of a toothed slide (6) in which the optical fiber is fixed ( 3), so that with each activation action of the optical fiber (3) it moves out of a cannula (4) inserted into the body of the handpiece, arranged at the end of the handpiece and designed to direct the optical fiber (3) towards the site of the operation, for only one step of precisely determined length, allowing the toothed slide (6) the movement of the optical fiber (3) in one direction for more than one step of equal size ; - the toothed slide (6), which is mounted on the body of the handpiece along the longitudinal axis of the body and has a row of saw teeth (5) arranged on its upper side, which has a hollow interior in that the optical fiber (3) is fed along the longitudinal axis of the slide, the optical fiber (3) being fixed to the slide (6) at the entrance in the slide (6); the surgical handpiece further comprising - a sliding mechanism designed to execute a step-by-step advance of the optical fiber (3), fed through the handpiece, for a precisely determined length of passage towards the place of the operation, in which said advance can be initiated through a single manipulation of the actuation button (2) each time the end of the fiber optic section, which projects out of the cannula (4) and with which the surgical operation, is burned due to the high energy of the outgoing laser light, - said sliding mechanism including a wedge element (11) and a spring tongue (10) with a spring (16), said wedge element being incorporated ( 11) and the spring tongue (10) in the drive control (2) in which its task is to push the drive button (2) in the direction towards the place of operation; - said sliding mechanism further includes the row of saw teeth (5), said saw teeth (5) being arranged on the upper side of the slider (6), in which its task is to ensure the movement step by pitch of the toothed slide (6); - said sliding mechanism further including a return spring (13) with a piston (9), said return spring (13) being compressed when the actuation button (2) is pushed towards the cannula (4) and expanding once the pushing action on the control drive (2) ceases, in which the stretching spring (13) pushes the drive control (2) together with the elastic tongue (10) and the element by means of the piston (9) wedge (11) in the backward direction, so they all resume their original positions; - said sliding mechanism further including a locking ring (12) with a pushing spring (17), said locking ring (12) blocking the movement of the toothed slide (6) when the drive button (2) is in a state of rest.
