titleOfInvention | Production method of hyaluronic acid derivatives |
abstract | Method of producing a polysaccharide derivative comprising a polysaccharide having a carboxyl group attached to an organic compound having a functional group that can be fused to the carboxyl group, which comprises allowing the polysaccharide to react with the organic compound through the use of 4- (4,6-Dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl) -4-methylmorpholinium chloride, in which the polysaccharide having a carboxyl group is a hyaluronic acid having a weight average molecular weight 100,000 to 5,000,000 in which the degree of substitution of the organic compound is in the range of 5 to 20% as determined by calculations based on the amount of hyaluronic acid determined by the reaction of carbazole-sulfuric acid and the amount of the organic compound as determined by spectrophotometry, and wherein the organic compound is a compound obtained by covalently binding a photoreactive compound or a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) to a spacer substance, in which the spacer substance has the following formula: H2N - (CH2) n-OH in which n represents an integer from 2 to 18. |
