abstract An implantable device, comprising a coating comprising a reservoir layer comprising a terpolymer comprising caprolactone, glycolide and a third monomer, the terpolymer having a molar composition in which caprolactone is 20% or more and glycolide is a 10% or more, in which the coating has a thickness of 5 microns or less and a degradation or absorption rate such that, in a period of 6 months after deployment of the implantable device, the coating has a mass loss of 80 % or more, wherein the coating further comprises a primer layer comprising a biodegradable amorphous polymer, in which the amorphous polymer is selected from the group consisting of amorphous poly (D, L-lactide) (PDLLA), poly (Llactide - amorphous co-D, L-lactide (PLLA-DLLA) with a content of D, L-Iactide of 30% molar or higher, poly (D, Llactide-co-glycolide) (PDLLA-GA) amorphous with a content 10% glycolide at 50% molar, amorphous poly (L-lactide-coglycolide) (PLLA-GA) with a content of 70% molar or lower, poly (glycolide-co-caprolactone) (PGA-CL) amorphous with a glycolide content 70% molar or lower, amorphous poly (D, L-lactide-cocaprolactone) (PDLLA-CL) with a caprolactone content of 70% molar or lower and poly (L-lactide-cocaprolactone) (PLLA-CL) amorphous with an L-lactide content of less than 70% molar, but greater than 30% molar; wherein the primer layer does not contain the terpolymer comprising caprolactone, glycolide and a third monomer.
