abstract |
A surgical stapling device (10), comprising: an elongated body part (14) having proximal and distal parts; a head part (16) positioned adjacent to the distal part of the body part, the head part including a housing assembly (31 ') and an anvil assembly (30') movable with respect to the housing assembly between positions without approximation and with approximation, including the anvil assembly a central rod (154 ') and an anvil head (124), the central rod including an interference member (290') that can be coupled with the housing assembly, including the central rod also at least one perforation extending transversely therethrough, the perforation (286) configured and sized to receive a flexible member so that the flexible member extends transversely through the central rod; a drive screw (32) with proximal and distal ends extending at least partially through the body part; and an anvil retainer (38) with proximal and distal ends (38A), the anvil retainer being functionally connected to the drive screw and configured and sized to receive at least partially the central rod, where the drive screw moves the anvil assembly between the positions without approximation and with approximation, characterized in that the central rod also includes a plurality of hills (270 ') that can be coupled with the anvil retainer. |
