abstract A device for identifying the presence of a specific target molecule or biomarker by detecting a change in an electrical property, the device includes a measuring sensor (8) comprising: a conductive or semiconductor sensor structure (12) capable of conjugating with the biomarker, thus giving rise to said change in electrical property, the sensor including an aptamer coating or an antibody coating; and a system (3) of electrodes for the realization of a signal from the device; wherein the device includes such an additional sensor (9), substantially identically, but having its sensor structure (14) covered in such a way that it does not conjugate with the biomarker, in order to act as an internal reference.
