titleOfInvention Endoscopic applicator of surgical clips with locking system
abstract Apparatus (100) for applying surgical clips (C) to body tissue, the apparatus comprising: a set of elongated endoscopic shaft (104) supported by and extending distally from the handle assembly (102) and defining an axis longitudinal; the handle assembly (102) that includes a trigger (108) and a drive bar (140) that can be moved with reciprocating movement by the trigger after a drive thereof, in which the shaft assembly (104) extends from distally from the handle assembly; including the tree assembly (104): a housing (150); a jaw (106) mounted adjacent to a part of the distal end of the housing (150), the jaw (106) being able to move between a separate open state and an approximate closed state; a staple holder (164) arranged in the shaft assembly and defining a staple channel, including the staple holder (164) windows (164a) a plurality of surgical staples (C) slidably arranged within the staple channel of the staple holder (164); a push bar (156) arranged with reciprocating movement inside the housing (150) of the shaft assembly (104), the push bar (156) being configured to load a more distal surgical clip, of the plurality of surgical clips (C ), on the jaw (106) during each distal advance of the push bar (156), including the push bar (156) a retainer (156e) extending proximally; a stapler follower (166) slidably supported within the staple channel of the staple holder (164) and disposed proximally of the plurality of surgical staples (C) to propel the plurality of surgical staples in a distal direction, including the staple follower (166) a proximal tongue (166c) and a locking plate (165), the locking plate (165) including an elastic tail (165a) extending from a surface thereof and defining a window (165b), in which after the firing of a last surgical clip, the window (165b) of the elastic tail (165a) receives the retainer (156e) of the push bar (156), and the proximal tongue (166c) it engages in the distal window of the windows (164a) of the staple holder (164), thus preventing movement of the push bar (156) in a proximal direction.
