abstract | An aqueous composition that includes the following components: a chaotrope present in an amount between 0.5 M and 6M; a detergent present in an amount of between 0.1% and 1% (weight / vol,), wherein the detergent comprises sodium doccyl sulfate (SDS), lithium dodecyl sulfate (LDS), sodium taurodeoxycholate (NaTDC), sodium taurocholate (NaTC) , sodium glycocholate (NaGC), sodium deoxycholate (NaDC), sodium colalate, sodium alkylbenzene sulphonate (NaABS), N-lauryl sarcosine (NLS), carboxylic acid salts, sulfonic acid salts, sulfuric acid salts, acid esters phosphoric and polyphosphoric, alkyl phosphates, monoalkyl phosphate (MAP), salts of perfluorocarboxylic acids, anionic detergents or any combination of these elements; a reducing agent, where the reducing agent is β-ME, DTT, DMSO or formamide present in an amount of between 0.05 M and 0.3 M, or where the reducing agent is TCEP present in an amount of between 0.5 mM and 30 mM; a chelating agent present in an amount between 0.5 mM and 50 mM; a surface active agent present in an amount of between 0.0001% and 0.3% (weight / vol,), wherein the surface active agent comprises cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, alkylaminopropionic acids, imidazoline carboxylates, betaines, sulfobetaines, sultaines, alkylphenol ethoxylates, alcohol ethoxylates, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene glycols, polyoxyethylene mercaptans, long chain carboxylic acid esters, alkanolamides, tertiary acetylenic glycols, polyoxyethylene silicones, N-alkyl pyrrolidones, alkyl polyglycosides, as asbestosylates, silicone as amylobys, or asbestosystems, silicone as amide or asbestosystems, silicone as amide or asbestos, or asbestosylates, as, or, silicone, as, amylophosphate, as, or silicone, as, amylophosphate or asbestosylates, or asbestosylates, or asbestosites, or asbestosites, or asbestosystems, or asbestos, asbestos, biphenylates, or asbestosites, or asbestos, asbestos, biphenylates, or, of any combination of these elements; a short chain alkanol present in an amount of between 1 and 25% (vol, / vol,); a buffer solution that provides the composition with a pH between 6 and 7, and nuclease-free water, where the components are present together in an amount sufficient to denature proteins, inactivate nucleases, eliminate pathogens and not degrade nucleic acid of a sample suspected of containing pathogens and where the sample is in contact with the composition, |
