abstract Device for handling magnetic particles (A) in suspension comprising: a substrate; a magnetic conduit (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700) suitable for the creation, movement and destruction of domain walls (HH, TT), said magnetic conduit (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700) on said substrate; a suspension of magnetic particles (A) located in the vicinity of the surface of said magnetic conduit (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700); characterized in that: said magnetic conduit (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700) comprises a strip of magnetic material such that said magnetic particles (A) can be trapped, moved and released along of said strip as a consequence of the creation, movement and destruction of said domain walls along said strip and of the interaction between said domain walls (HH, TT) and said magnetic particles (A), in which said strip comprises a plurality of adjacent segments (202b, 203A1, 203An, 204, 302, 303A1, 303An, 304, 303A2(n-1), 303A2n, 303B1, 303Bn, 402, 403A1, 403An, 404, 602, 603, 604 ) and the length of said segments is substantially greater than the transverse dimensions (width and thickness) of said segments (202, 203A1, 203An, 204, 302, 303A1, 303An, 304, 303A2(n-1), 303A2n, 303B1, 303Bn, 402, 403A1, 403An, 404, 602, 603, 604) such that said domain walls (HH, TT) are restricted domain walls sit transverse to said strip and maintain their integrity during movement.
