abstract A process for filtering interferograms obtained from SAR images, achieved in the same area by synthetic aperture radars, comprising the following steps: a) obtaining a series of N radar images (A1 ... AN) by means of a SAR sensor in the same area with the achievement of such geometries to allow the sampling of the data again in a common grid; b) after sampling again on a common grid, select a pixel from the common grid; c) calculate the coherence matrix of the selected pixel, that is, estimate the complex coherence values of each possible pair of images available; d) maximize, with respect to the source vector q, here an unknown element, the function: ** Formula ** where R is the operator that extracts the real part of a complex number, γnm the module of the element (n, m) of the coherence matrix, k a positive real number, Φnm the phase of the element (n, m) of the coherence matrix, θn and θm the elements n and m of the unknown vector θ, the values of the unknown factor that are estimated except a constant additive and the phase values θn thus obtained which constitute the vector of the filtered phase values.
