Topical supply systems for ophthalmic use |
abstract |
An aqueous ophthalmic solution comprising nanomyceles in a physiologically acceptable buffer, having a pH of 5.0 to 8.0, wherein dexamethasone in a concentration in the range of about 0.1% w / w to about 1.00% w / v is solubilized through entrapment in a mixed micellar hydrophobic core with a crown composed of hydrophilic chains that extend from the hydrophobic core where nanomyceles comprise vitamin E polyethylene glycol succinate tocopherol (TPGS) at a concentration in the range of approximately 2.0% w / w approximately 5.0% w / v stabilized with octoxynol-40 at a concentration in the range of about 1.0% w / w about 3.0% w / v. |
