Enhanced electro-active lens system |
abstract |
An electro-active lens system comprising: an electro-active lens comprising a plurality of pixels, each pixel of said plurality of pixels having a variable refractive index; a sensor adapted to detect an ambient light; and a controller operatively connected to said sensor and said electro-active lens, characterized in that said electro-active lens system is configured to provide a variable higher order aberration correction based on a change in ambient light detected by the sensor, the correction for a variable higher order aberration including a plurality of optical prescriptions of a lens wearer. |
