abstract |
The use of a telomerase inhibitor in the preparation of a medicament to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in a subject that is being treated either sequentially or simultaneously with gemcitabine, where the telomerase inhibitor comprises an oligonucleotide characterized by: (i ) N3 '→ P5' thiophosphoramidate type nucleoside junctions; (ii) have the sequence identified as SEQ ID NO: 12 and (iii) a palmitoyl moiety (C16) attached to the 5 'end of the oligonucleotide via a glycerol or aminoglycerol type linker. |
