abstract |
An implantable article comprising continuous melt-formed filaments interspersed to form a porous veil in which said filaments are self-coherent with each other at multiple points of contact, wherein said filaments comprise at least one semicrystalline polymer component covalently bonded to or mixed with at least an amorphous polymer component, in which the filaments have immiscibility of phases of the polymer component from partial to complete when they are in a crystalline state, in which said porous veil has a porosity greater than ninety percent in the absence of additional components, in which the porous veil is a uniaxially stretched veil; and wherein said implantable article is in the form of a hollow tube. |
