titleOfInvention Procedure for recovery of spilled oil or other viscous liquid
abstract Method for recovering a viscous liquid comprising: providing an apparatus comprising a rotating liquid recovery unit having a printed surface with a plurality of grooves, said grooves being configured to collect and retain a viscous liquid that is in contact with said surface ; placing the surface of said liquid recovery unit (10, 30) in contact with a viscous liquid body (32), rotating said liquid recovery unit (10, 30) and removing said liquid recovery unit from said viscous liquid body; wherein the viscous liquid is collected on the surface of said liquid recovery unit (10, 30); the method further comprising providing a scraper (26) having a blade geometry complementary to said grooves (14) and removing the viscous liquid from the surface of said liquid recovery unit with said scraper (26); the method being characterized in that said contacting of the surface of said liquid recovery unit with a viscous liquid body comprises arranging the surface of said liquid recovery unit with an inclination in relation to the surface of the liquid below ninety degrees so that the effect of gravity on the viscous liquid is reduced by the presence of the recovery surface under the film.
