abstract Fibrin hydrogel with plasmonic nanoparticles. # The present invention relates to a photothermal composition comprising a fibrin hydrogel matrix or a mixture of its precursors, thrombin and fibrinogen, in which plasmonic nanoparticles and thermosensitive effectors containing agents are embedded Therapeutics that are released after applying electromagnetic radiation of a certain intensity and wavelength to the composition. This photothermal composition is useful for generating hyperthermia in biological tissues in which it is implanted, whereby the present invention also relates to the use of this composition for the destruction of tumors, the treatment of infections or the regeneration of tissues, as well as for controlled administration of therapeutic agents.
