titleOfInvention Stable emulsion inks for offset printing containing emulsion stabilizer with water tolerance
abstract Method of stabilizing an emulsion printing ink comprising water as a dispersed phase, the method comprising the steps of: (i) selecting an emulsion stabilizer based on a water tolerance index of greater than 1.0 and equal to or less from 11.0; and (ii) using the emulsion stabilizer to stabilize the water, where the water tolerance index is the weight of water in grams that is dropped into a solution of 0.5 g of emulsifier in 10 ml of THF when the solution becomes cloudy.
