abstract Process for producing a pyrimidinyl pyrazole compound represented by the general formula (1), in which aminoguanidine represented by the general formula (2) or its salt is reacted in water with a -dicetone compound represented by the general formula (3 ) in the presence of a base selected from metal acetates to produce the pyrazole pyrimidinyl compound, in which twice or more than one molar equivalent of the -dicetone compound is used with respect to aminoguanidine or its salt, in which formula R1 and R3 are each independently an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
