abstract A fiber comprising a biodegradable polymer containing a phospholipid and having a mean surface porosity of less than 3%, wherein the phospholipid is one of the following: dilauroylphosphatidylcholine in an amount of 0.2% by weight to 5% in weight, dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine in an amount of 0.4% by weight to 5% by weight, dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine in an amount of 1% by weight to 5% by weight, dioleoylphosphatidylcholine in an amount of 1% by weight to 5% by weight, and dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine in an amount of 1% by weight to 5% by weight, or is two or more of the phospholipids in a total amount of 5% by weight or less, and in a total amount of 1% by weight or more, or contains at least dilauroylphosphatidylcholine in an amount of 0.2% by weight or more, or contains at least dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine in an amount of 0.4% by weight or more.
