Uses of gel formulations |
abstract |
Use of a composition comprising a polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene block copolymer as a support matrix in particle analysis, wherein the block copolymer is present in the composition at a gelling concentration, wherein the composition shows the following properties: ( a) gel-sun heatreversibility; (b) micelle formation under gelling conditions; (c) optical compatibility; (d) controllable surfactant properties; (e) molecular sieve properties; and (f) biocompatibility wherein the composition additionally comprises fluorescent beads and / or a dye; and wherein the particles are immobilized within the block copolymer composition. |
