abstract Glaucoma drainage device, comprising: a main drain tube with a first end configured to be located in an anterior chamber of an eye and a second end configured to be located in a drainage location; a bypass drain tube (2040) fluidly coupled to and in parallel with the main drain tube; a pump (280) in communication with the bypass drain pipe (2040), the pump comprising a first actuator (2020) and a first flexible membrane (2025) enclosing a first chamber (2027); a first check valve (255) located upstream of the pump; and a second check valve (260) located downstream of the pump; an active valve (270) located upstream of the first check valve, the valve comprising a second actuator (2010) and a second flexible membrane (2015) comprising a second chamber (2017); and a third check valve (250) located between the active valve and the second end of the main drain tube (2030); in which a volume of the first chamber (2027) is changed to pump fluid from the anterior chamber (340) to the drain location (410).
