titleOfInvention | Procedure for the continuous preparation of alkylamino (meth) acrylamides |
abstract | Process for the continuous preparation of an alkylamino (meth) acrylamide of the formula (C) ** Formula ** in which R1 represents a group H or CH3 and R2 represents a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl radical, or an aryl radical with 2 to 12 C atoms, by reaction of a compound of the formula (B), ** Formula ** having R2 the meaning indicated above, with a compound of the formula (A), ** Formula ** in which R1 represents a group H or CH3 and R3 can mean methyl or ethyl, in the presence of a transesterification catalyst and in the presence of at least one polymerization inhibitor agent in a kit for continuous chemical conversion, characterized in that the reactants are provided continuously to a suitable reaction apparatus (1) and because the alcohol resulting in the reaction is continuously withdrawn as an azeotropic mixture of methanol and methyl (meth) acrylate (13), or respectively as a mixture of ethanol and ethyl acrylate (13), with help from a distillation column (2) and furthermore: - the reaction mixture is continuously led from the reaction apparatus to a distillation column (3) or respectively to an evaporator (5), being removed by distillation under reduced pressure the easily volatile compounds A, B, methanol or respectively ethanol and a very small proportion of the amide product (C), returning to the reaction apparatus and withdrawing from the sink of the column the amide product (C) in common with the catalyst and the polymerization inhibitors as well as with the secondary products that boil at high temperatures; - the sump stream (15) coming from the distillation column (3) is continuously fed to a purification distillation. |
