abstract | A granulated agrochemical composition, comprising: a) a granulated core material that includes a water soluble part; b) a first coating layer comprising a wax composition having a biologically active ingredient incorporated in said place applied on the surface of the core material; wherein the wax composition has a melting temperature greater than 50 ° C; and c) a second coating layer comprising a polymer composition applied on the surface of the first coating layer wherein the polymer composition comprises a thermoset polymeric coating material; d) said granulated composition showing a controlled release rate of the biologically active ingredient therein over a period greater than 30 days from the date of the initial exposure of the granulated composition to moisture where more than 90% of the initial weight of the biologically active ingredient incorporated in the wax material of the first coating layer is released from the granulated composition before the water soluble content of the core material is completely depleted. |
