Bone treatment systems and bone filling material |
abstract |
A bone treatment system (100) comprising: an introducer (110A) of filling material having a flow channel (118) extending therethrough to inject filling material (120) into the interior of a bone; a source (145) of filler material coupled to said flow channel (118), in which the filler material (120) includes a composition; a source (125A) of Rf energy coupled to an energy emitter (128) in the configured flow channel (118) to apply Rf energy to the filling material (120); a controller (125B) configured to control the application of Rf energy from the power source (125A) to increase a viscosity of the filling material (120); and monitoring means coupled to the controller (125B) and adapted to monitor at least one parameter of the filling material (120); in which the controlled energy application of Rf is based on at least one supervised parameter. |
