titleOfInvention Microaerobic system to control the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in biomethanization reactors
abstract Microaerobic system to control the concentration of hydrogen sulphide in biomethanization reactors. # Industrial biomethanization processes usually produce biogas with a concentration of hydrogen sulphide higher than that allowed by the utilization processes. The need to purify this biogas has led to the development of desulfurization processes in which the hydrogen sulfide it contains is oxidized to elemental sulfur that adheres to the walls of the biomethanization reactor, which is used as a desulfurization reactor, forcing to periodic and unavoidable cleaning and extraction operations of the deposited elemental sulfur being necessary to stop the biomethanization process whose performance decreases when associated dead times appear. The present invention (fig. 1) makes the desulphurization reactor (DSA) biomethanization reactor (DA) independent so that, without stopping the operation of the former, the necessary cleaning and maintenance operations can be carried out in the latter.
